bound in chains, the legion of the damned.
dragged to death across the desert sands.
ruthless acts bestowed upon their prey.
blood soaked soil, the innocent decay.
imprisoned beneath the royal throne
left to rot within the catacombs.
evil looms amongst the kingdom walls.
bastard cries in the glory of their halls.
kings will meet their demise
as the mutant slaves rise
from the ground they ascend
as they summon the end

I’m upset that I didn’t discover this album sooner. I had originally come across Summoner when they covered one of my favorite Black Sabbath songs (A National Acrobat) on a tribute album. There’s an urgency to their music, and as you’re unpacking what you’re hearing, it just sinks in deep and sticks with you. I’m really just trying to say that this album is fantastic, and deep. I’m really hoping Summoner puts out new music soon and would love to see them live as well. Matthew Rychlik
